VOW’s Public Meeting in Hartley Wintney – Great Response!
Despite the attraction (?) of the England game on Tuesday evening, approximately 70 people attended the Hartley Wintney Public Meeting!
It quickly became apparent that there was a widespread lack of knowledge of the details of the proposals and that people in HW (and all over Hart) are deeply shocked by the devastation these will cause. Most local attendees said how unaware they were of just how big, how intrusive and how damaging to the whole of Hart the conversion of Lodge Farm to a distribution centre and warehouse site would be if the proposals go ahead. The point was well made that the proposals would inflict far more harm than confer any benefit on Hart’s wider community – a very wrong development in the worst possible place.
What you can do now
We await receipt by Hart of the next - probably final - version of the Planning Application. While we wait you can help by telling your friends and neighbours what might happen if the Application is approved and urging them to protest when the time comes.
This is a threat that faces us all. Your views are important – we can make a difference. The threat is real. Help yourselves by joining the fight to defeat it.
